Gerald "Jerry" Eugene Hodges, peacefully at rest Moday July 1, 2013, in the presence of his family. Born January 29, 1934 in Toledo, OH. Jerry was the son of the late Russell Wayne and Minerva (Deiley) Hodges, and always considered the late Ida Borton-Walker Hodges to be his mother. He enlisted early during the Korean Conflict, and received his honorable discharge from USMC on February 3, 1952. He worked for Briggs Truck Lines and was a Teamster for many years. He retired as an Illinois State employee. He is survived by his deeply loving wife Joyce (Matcha) Hodges, and by his children: Pamela, Karrie Burt (Gary), Wendy Eckard (Lincoln), Christopher, Lorianne, Jonathan (Lawee ), and Anne. Living on are his 14 grandchildren: Elissa, Rebecca, Joshua, James, Cathryn, and Corey (Margaret) Isom; Adam, Joseph (Laura), Andrew (Cat), and Jacqueline Felgenhauer; Tenille Souter (Mark), Stephanie, Daniel, and David Eckard, and 10 great-grandchildren: Tristen, Corbin, Gianna, Alexander, Khloe, and Khaleb Isom; Gavin D'Amico; Sydney and Melanie Felgenhauer, and Mya Eckard. Fond brother of Walter (the late Dorothy) Hodges, Judith (John) Arquette, David (Beth) Hodges, and Thomas Hodges. Preceeded in death by his brother Richard (Elaine) Hodges, and sisters Margola "Sue"(Raymond) Dutkowski and Katherine "Marsha" (Chester) Robie. Uncle, Great and Grand, to many. Tuesday from 3-9 pm. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 am, at Lawn Funeral Home 7732 W 159th Street, Orland Park, IL with interment to be held directly after at Chapel Hill Garden West Cemetery, Oak Brook, Il.
