Lon D. Johnson, age 67 of Spencer, formerly of Stevens Point, died March 25, 2006 in Burlington, KS.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday March 29, 2006 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point. A prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. Rev. Roger McAbee will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Morris Cemetery, Wautoma.
Lon was born April 9, 1938 in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Arthur and Gladys (Dunlap) Johnson. He attended local schools before serving in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. After being honorably discharged Lon spent a year traveling the United States, visiting every state except Alaska.
He married Judy Rosby and settled in Stevens Point working as an Auto Technician and later as a Service Representative for the Schierl Tire Company for 36 years retiring in 2003. Judy died May 14, 1995.
Lon was married to Emily Foth on April 17, 2003. The couple resided in Spencer.
Lon enjoyed hunting, fishing, building birdhouses, farming, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.
Lon is survived by his wife Emily-Spencer, two sons: Phil "Buck" (Melissa) and their children Nicole, Rebecca and Mikaila-Almond and Terry (Kelly) and their children Hannah and Carly and one daughter Cindy Lucht and her son Jesse; his step children: Susan (David) Bauer-Marshfield, Kathy (Allan) Weyer-Spencer, Michael (Susan) Foth-Spencer and Steven (Karen Foth-Muskego, OK, 16 step-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren, two brothers: Arthur (Adel)-New Mexico and Robert-Waupaca, 5 sisters: Jane Schmit-Waupun, Carol Kirstein-Fond du Lac, Mary (Robert) Jacques-Oshkosh, June Thorston-Fond du Lac and Sharon Meyer-De Pere, WI.
He was preceded in death by a sister Marge Peterson.
