BARNETT, Earl Wade, 60, of Sandston, passed away suddenly at his home on July 7, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Howard and Edna Mae Barnett; sister, Francis Barnett Wilson; brother, Howard Edward Barnett; and a very special nephew, Vernon Wayne Barnett. He is survived by his children, Wendy Barnett Kuska, Earl Wade Barnett II (Jennifer), Patricia Barnett Davis (Nick); and their mother, his previous wife, Wanda Barnett Fields; nine grandchildren, one great- granddaughter; a brother and very best friend, Robert Lee Barnett (Phyllis) and Lamar Smith; sisters, Katherine Peach (Jim), Betty Bell (Jake), Louise Onley, Barbara Fairchild (Charlie) and Peggy Price (Dale); and many nieces and nephews, all who loved their Uncle Earl. He was a longtime and valued employee of Slurry Pavers of Richmond.

Earl served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. His loves in life were family, friendships, golf, boating, the beach and life itself. With Earl, it was always five o'clock somewhere. He attended Fairmount Christian Church in Mechanicsville.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where services will be held 11 a.m. Friday.
Interment Hanover Memorial Park.
