Glenn W. Oliver (1938 - 2112)

SALAMANCA - Glenn W. Oliver, 73, of Cleo Street, died late Friday afternoon at the Absolut of Salamanca following a short illness.

Born Nov. 23, 1938, in Fenton, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen Palmer Oliver. Mr. Oliver was married Feb. 15, 1964, in the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church to the former Mary Williams, who survives.

Mr. Oliver was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Middle East during the early 1960s.

He was employed as a service technician by Sears for more than 25 years throughout the Southern Tier, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club.

Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Murray (Denise) Oliver of Salamanca; three sisters, Joyce (Hugh) Kearney of Bainbridge, Judy Borrows of Great Falls, Mont., Nancy Tuzes of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Arthur (Mary Ann) Oliver of Nineveh; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Oliver was predeceased by a sister, Genny Boytin, and a brother, Edward Oliver.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca.
