Obituary for Duane Anthony Moore
Mr. Duane Anthony Moore, age 57, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Willows in Winchester, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 13, at 1 PM at the Shorter Chapel AME Church of Tullahoma with Rev. Fred Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Tullahoma. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, July 13 at the church from 12 PM until service time.
A native of Los Angeles, California, he was the son of the late William and Rebecca Tilford Moore. Mr. Moore attended Shorter Chapel AME Church. He enjoyed playing basketball as well as other sports. He enjoyed attending church activities and spending time with his family. He had a special love for children and could spend hours talking with them. He loved life and lived life to the fullest.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Adams.
Mr. Moore is survived by one daughter, Chameka Moore of California; three brothers, William Moore Jr. of California, Andre Moore of Tullahoma and Williey Keith Mitchell of Nashville; four sisters, Vannessa Hall, Natalie Stephenson and Mary Catherine Maupins, all of Tullahoma and Theonita Kelly of California; two aunts, Johnie Ann Tilford of Nashville and Lydia Pruitt of California; special cousin, Kelief Hickerson and his wife, Nicole of Tullahoma; two grandsons, one granddaughter and many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Shorter Chapel AME Church, 402 SW Atlantic Street, Tullahoma, TN. 37388.
