He passed away Wednesday evening, July 2 , 2008 at his home after a year and a half long battle with cancer. He was born May 8, 1951, in Marinette, WI to the late Arnold and Arlene (nee Veek) Johnson.
Phil resided in Marinette all his life and was a 1970 graduate of Marinette High School. He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973 and was stationed in Germany.
He married the former Victoria Goddard of Marinette, WI on Dec. 1, 1973.
He was employed by the former Scott Paper Co., now Kimberly-Clark, for 37 years until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Marinette and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter Mrs. Rodney (Erica) Sellen of Lena, WI and their expected first child;
a son Jared Johnson (friend, Maggie LaCrosse) of Marinette, WI;
two sisters: Mrs. Patrick (Nancy) Bruso of Peshtigo, WI and Mrs. Jerry (Carol) Bohan of Marinette, WI and his mother-in-law, Geraldine Goddard of Peshtigo, WI.
He was preceded in death by parents.
