Miss Beery was born July 5, 1923, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late Walter R. and Mary F. Shank Beery.
She was a homemaker and local quilt maker for the community. She was a member of the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church.
Surviving are four sisters, Carrie Beery and Vada Rhodes, both of Dayton, and Vera Showalter and Lois Good, both of Harrisonburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Miss Beery was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Brubaker.
The ministers of the church will conduct a funeral service Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body will be taken back to her home, where friends and family may call.
McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg is in charge of arrangements.
