Marion Station—Amy Renee` Butler, 47, of Marion Station, was called home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at her home following a short, courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Steubenville, Ohio on April 25, 1966, she was the daughter of Clarence Weaver of Toronto, Ohio and Judy McLamara of Carrollton, Ohio. She had been making her home in Marion since 1999.
A 1984 graduate of Jefferson Union High School in Richmond, Ohio, she worked in insurance sales for Monumental in Pocomoke City. She was a faithful member of the Marion Baptist Church where she helped with the children's drama program and she loved all types of crafts including scrapbooking, cross-stitching, crocheting, and knitting. She also enjoyed spending time with her church family.
In addition to her mother and father she is survived by her husband of 13 years, Michael Lee Butler of Marion Station; two daughters, Shaunnessy Marie Anderson of Akron, Ohio and Megan Leigh Butler of Marion Station; her brother, Russell Weaver and wife Ronda of Amsterdam, Ohio; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Butler of Marion Station; her brother-in-law, Alan Butler and wife Patti of Marion Station; her sister-in-law, Dr. Melinda Butler and husband Dr. Timothy Sniezek of Preston, MD; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. Joseph Barnes will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion Station.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Marion Baptist Church, 5833 Crisfield Highway, Marion Station, MD 21838.
