William Lamar Jensen was born on July 31, 1898, in Richfield, Utah. He was the tenth child of Annie Christina Jensen and Jens Mikkel Jensen. He had three sisters and seven brothers.

Lamar was 6' tall with blue eyes and blond hair. He graduated from Richfield schools in 1915. After briefly living in Los Angeles and then working in Elko, Nevada, he returned to work as a clerk with Jensen Brother's clothing store in Richfield.

He was a 32 degree Mason with Hiram Lodge # 12 in Richfield. He loved baseball and served as an umpire and scorekeeper for the four Richfield teams in the 1920's. The he was also the Co-captain and pitcher of the Businessmen baseball team in the 1930's. During WWII, he was a private in the 14 Ferrying Group for the Army Air Force.

Later in life he had an apartment on South Temple Street in Salt Lake City. Walking where ever he went, from morning to night. He also suffered from a stroke that severely affected his speech.

Lamar died at home in Salt Lake City on March 30, 1961, at age 62. He was buried in Richfield, Utah.
