She was born May 4, 1924 in Clearfield, Davis County, Utah. She was the seventh of twelve children born to Archie and Almeda Child Hamblin. She attended schools in Davis County, Utah.

Pearl had been blessed with love and family unity. Being from a big family, she learned early on how important it is to love, support, teach and understand the importance of family unity.

She was a loving, supportive, and proud parent. She never had a harsh word for anyone, no matter who you were or how well off you were.

She lived frugal and loved much. She was loved by everyone that knew her.

She married Virgil H. Anderson in 1941. They were long time residents of Clearfield, Utah. Virgil passed in 1969.

In 1972, she married A.Wayne Connell. He passed in 2001.

She and Wayne moved from Clearfield to Washington, Utah in 1975. She was so proud of the fact that they got a sign put in their yard and a write-up in the paper when they received a town recognition award for the most beautiful and improved property more than once in Washington, Utah.

Pearl loved her family, loved her LDS upbringing and served in many church callings.

She was the first to praise her children, but was also the first to let it be known when you were doing things wrong.

She was faithful to her family, her ancestry, her religion, her standards and was very proud to be an American.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnne A. Dewey; a son, Howard L. (Shelley) Anderson; daughter-in-law, Dawn Anderson; 25 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brother, Elden Hamblin; and too many nieces and nephews to mention.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; ten siblings; a son, Tommie V. Anderson; a grandson; and a great granddaughter.
