Lois H. Meyers, 86, of Chittenango, passed away Sunday at her home. Born in Syracuse, Lois has been a resident of Chittenango the past 55 years. For over 10 years Lois had been employed as a sales clerk at the former Waldman's Department Store in Chittenango. Lois was a member of the Town of Sullivan Leisure Time Club. Lois demonstrated her Christian faith by her loving, selfless care of her family and her warmth toward many friends. She loved God's creation, especially birds, gardening and picking berries. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, the Canastota Farmer's Market and spending time with her grandchildren and grand-dogs. During the last 12 years, she worshiped at Crossroads Community Church where she came to fully understand and receive Jesus as her Savior. She now resides with her Savior in the heavenly home he has prepared for her. Surviving are her sons, Gregory Meyers (Lori) of Fort Johnson and Mark Meyers (Leslie) of Binghamton; her daughters, Sharon Marko (Stephen), Kathy Disque, Lorraine Harrington (Ed), Gail Harrington (David), all of Kirkville and Joan Meyers of Marcellus; her brother, Adelbert Austin of Deland, FL; her sisters, Lillian Wooding of East Syracuse and Jeanette Poirier of North Syracuse; 13 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Meyers in 2001. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Crossroads Community Church, 1751 Fyler Rd. North, Chittenango. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Crossroads Community Church, 1751 Fyler Rd., Chittenango, NY 13037.
