(town or county?).
m. # 1. Henry H. Rinker, on
Nov. 3, 1856, in Niles, Michiga
(Listed as "Nancy Jane" in
marriage records).
(Henry was born about 1829-1831, in IN).
Henry served in the Civil War, in
Battery L, of the 1st Michigan
Light Artillery.
Nancy was an army nurse during
the Civil War (per: "Berrien County
Record" newspaper, in Buchanan, MI,
published on July 27, 1937).
Children: Judd, born about 1856.
Dalton, born about 1858.
Franklin "Frank" A. Rinker, born
Dec. 12, 1862 in Buchanan, MI and
died Feb. 7, 1941, in Buchanan, MI.
Frank is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Henry H. Ricker was buried in the
Kathryn Park Cemetery.
m. # 2. Edward Nathan Beattie, on
Jan. 15, 1880, in Buchanan, Michigan
(his second wife).
Edward and Nancy had no children.
(Edward was born 1835, the son of
Robert Beattie, born in Ireland, and
his wife Margaret Gilley. Robert and
Margaret are both buried in the Johnson
Cemetery, in Niles, Berrien Co. Michigan).
1900 census: Nancy is living in Buchanan,
Michigan, and listed as a widow. (Did they
divorce?) It states that she had given
birth to three children, one (Frank)
still living.
d. Nancy died April 13, 1908
(per probate records). Her property
included a 5/6 share in Lot Nos.
2, 3, 4, 5, 10, and 11 of the
"Mahala Mansfield Addition" to the
Village of Buchanan, Michigan.

(Edward died in 1910, and he is buried
in the Grandview Cemetery, in Fort Collins,
Larimer County Colorado, near his son
Daniel Orlando Beattie).
