DICKINSON — Johnnie Klecka, Sr., 79, of Dickinson passed away Monday, March 18, 1996 at his residence.

He was born on December 28, 1916 in East Bernard, Texas.

Johnnie was former owner of Klecka's Grocery and past director of Citizens State Bank. He was a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge for 50 years, Shrine of the True Cross Church, and was a resident of Dickinson for the past 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Klecka; son, Johnnie Klecka, Jr. and wife, Marcie; daughter,Darlene Whelton and husband, Rob, all of Dickinson;
brothers, Frank Klecka of Redwood City, California, Rudy Klecka of East Bernard, and August Klecka of East Bernard; sister, Evelyn Solodak of Sealy, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Klecka, Johnnie Klecka, IH, Bryce Whelton, and Hannah Whelton.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, 1996 after 3:00 pm with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. at Jack Rowe Funeral Home.

Funeral mass will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 1996 at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson with Monsignor Miliam Kleas
officiating.

Pallbearers will be Johnnie Klecka, m, Bryce Whelton, Rob Whelton, Ervin Brittnacher, Jr., Ricky Battistoni, Eddie Klecka, Billy Klecka, and Joe Hahn.
