Ernest Hilaman
Funeral services for Ernest Hilaman, 54, husband of Mrs. Eva F. Hilaman, 1912 Shallcross Avenue, will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Chandler funeral Home, Delaware Avenue and Jefferson Street. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call sunday night at the funeral home.
Mr. Hilaman, who served overseas with the American Army in World War I, died Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, New Castle, after a long illness. A resident of Wilmington most of his life, he was a member of Delaware Post, No. 1, American Legion.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight children, Ernest, Jr., Charlotte, Richard, Robert, Rita and Lois, at home, and Mrs. Eleanor Weber and Mrs. Florence Butler in California; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Todd and Mrs. Rita Smith of Wilmington and Mrs. Ruth Smith of Newark, and a brother, Roy Hilaman.
