A Marine Veteran, Wayne L. Briggs of Aurora, Colorado, died at the age of 55 on Saturday, August 19, 1978 at Aurora Community Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Maris (Nohrenberg) Briggs of Aurora, Colorado and three children, Mrs. Al (Christina) Harr, Kelly Briggs and Wanda Briggs, all of Aurora, Colorado. Mother, Mrs. Pearl Cloud of West Plains, Mo. Sisters include Mary Henry and Laura Gwinn both of West Plains, Mo. Marjorie Kiwegbe, Overland Park, KS.
Local survivors are mother-in-law, Mrs. Anna Nohrenberg, Blair, Mrs. Emil (Laura) Lorsch, sister-in-law, and Pete Nohrenberg, brother-in-law of Herman.
Services were held in Aurora, Colorado, on Monday, August 21, 1978. Services were held in Blair on Wednesday, August 23rd at Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Burial was made at Blair Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Roger Lorsch and Richard Hansen, Blair, Wayne Woodard, Douglas Woodard and Raymond Nohrenberg of Omaha and Don Hammer, Herman.
Mr. Briggs served in World War II at New Zealand and Guam. He was most recently in the Provo Marshall Department of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Colorado.
