Mr. Michael Joseph Fahey, son of Mr. M. J. Fahey died at the residence of his father in Westernport at 7:15 Thursday evening 28 November 1907, after a lingering illness from consumption, aged 25 years, 8 months and 17 days.
He was an upright young man and had many friends who grieve with his relatives over his untimely death.
The funeral services will be held in St. Peter's Catholic Church next Monday morning, Rev. Thomas E. Gallagher celebrating Solemn High Mass.
The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the people of this community in their great affliction.
The members of Piedmont Council No. 685, Knights of Columbus, of which the deceased was an honored member, will attend in a body and have charge of the funeral."

"Prominent Young Man of Westernport Answered to Final Summons.
Westernport, Md. - Joseph Fahey. one of the most popular young men on George's Creek, died last night at 7 o'clock at his home here, after an illness of about two months.
The deceased was about 28 years old and was engaged as chief clerk to his father, Superintendent Michael Fahey, of the Piedmont and George's Creek Coal Co. He was well and favorably known throughout the entire county.
He is survived by his father, before mentioned; two brothers, Patrick and John Fahey; and five sisters as follows, Misses Mamie, Frances, Beatrice, Edna and Annie Fahey, the latter a Sister in a religious order. Their mother died some years ago.
The deceased was a prominent member of the Knights of Columbus, also of Westernport Aerie, No. 707, Fraternal Order of Eagles."
