He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son Gregory Alan Barnett; a brother, Leo; and two sisters, Alpha Young and Willa Kathryn Fike.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Dean; three sons, Bradley Barnett Vernon Barnett and his wife Cindy, of Bunceton, Missouri; Brent Alan Barnett and his wife, Linda, of Nixa, Missouri, and Brian Barnett and his wife, Mary Beth, of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Barnett, Amanda Nicole Barnett Wright, Andrew Jordan Barnett, Jacob Brian Barnett, Ashley Marie Nelson-Benny, and Travis Louis Nelson; also other relatives and many friends.
