Gencie Lamona Tibbs, 66, of Richwood, OH., was lead to the Lords throne by Jessie Horsley and Patricia Wilson, Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her residence.
The Ironton, Ohio native was born May 31, 1947, the daughter of the late Willard and Jessie Skaggs Horsley.
She was a 1965 graduate of Green Township High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the Raymond United Methodist Church in Raymond, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Junior Horsley and two sisters, Brenda Horsley and Patricia Ann Wilson.
She is survived by four sons, Casey and Sonya Tibbs of Richwood, OH., Toney and Michelle Tibbs of Peebles, OH., Charles Ray Tibbs of Sacramento, CA., and William and Dee Tibbs of Portsmouth, OH., a daughter, Lori and Bob Sweeney of San Diego, CA., two brothers, Charles and Evelyn Horsley of Franklin Furnace, OH., and Elbert and Mary Horsley of Raymond, OH., three sisters, Julie Collins, Kathryn Johnson both of Ironton, and Mary and Rikk Stout of Minford, OH., six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
Funeral service at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, OH., with Pastor Doug Flinn officiating. Burial in Junior Furnace Cemetery.
