Clarence Torno, 21 years of age, passed away about 12 o'clock Tuesday at his home on Jackson street following an illness of about three years of complication of diseases. The deceased was born in Amherst on September 25, 1906, in the homestead, on Jackson street, where he spent all his life. He attended Amherst public schools and was a confirmed member of St. peter's Evangelical church. Prior to his illness he was employed at the National Tube Co. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Torno, one sister, Alice, and two brothers, Elmer and Walter. Funeral rites will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. A.C. Ernst, pastor of St. peter's Church, will officiate, and burial will be made in Crownhill cemetery.
