Amherst-Mrs. Louise Torno, 87, of 770 Woodhaven St., died in her home yesterday at 10 a.m. after a long illness.
A lifetime resident of the community, she was past president of the Women's Benefit Association. Mrs. Torno was a member of St. peter United Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alice Wilson, two sons, Elmer and Walter Torno, and one grandchild, all of Amherst.
Friends will be received in the Hempel Funeral Home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be there tomorrow at 11 a.m. the Rev. Robert A. Happel, pastor of St. peter United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery.
