She married William E. McMath on 25 Dec 1908 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

She was one of the first TEN women to enlist in the US Marine Corps during WWI. She was assigned to the Marine Corps publicity bureau where she wrote promotional articles, and also made a training film. She was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. - info provided by Sabrina Messenger
