Enoch B. Simerly - age 85 of Maryville passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at U.T. Medical Center.
He was a Major in the U.S. Army retired with 39 years of service. He retired from Blount County Circuit Court Clerk with more then 30 years. Active member of Rockford Baptist Church and a Deacon Chairman for 25 years. Former Sunday School Director and Teacher for many years. He was a Charter Member of the Seymour Camp Gideons International and was Speaker in Charge more than 25 years. He was Life and 58 year member of New Providence Masonic Lodge Number 128-Maryville Tn. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He was past president of County Officials Association of Tennessee, Past President of International Association of Court Clerks, Election Officials, Treasures and Recorders. He was a member of Maryville-Alcoa Civitan Club since 1966, Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5154, Member of the American Legion Post since 1946, life member National Guard Association of the United States. Member of Clarks Grove Board of Directors since 1968, President since 1985. He also served as a Trustee of Harrison-Chilhowee Baptist Academy for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his son Roger Allen Simerly, parents John and Myrtle Simerly, sisters Juanita Wood, Georgene Norton, Imogene Bradburn and brother Clay Simerly.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Josephine Magness Simerly, brother and wife James and Lena Simerly, brother in law Huston Magness and wife Edith, brother in laws Buddy Magness, Gene Garner and Theodore Spiva. Many special nieces and nephews. Special friend Kirby Smith.

The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russ Maples and Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00. Family and friends will meet 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Clarks Grove Cemetery for the interment.
