James Lee Bishop, 32, of Cartersville passed away Friday, June 8, 2007 at his residence. Born June 6, 1975 in Cartersville, he was the son of James Bishop and the late Ruby Tidwell Bishop. Lee was a member of the Cartersville Family Church. He was a quiet man with a great sense of humor. He loved his dogs and working on hot rod cars.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Bishop of Cartersville; his daughters, Heather Hovers and Haley Hovers; his sons, Matthew Bishop and Jesse Lee Bishop; his father, James Bishop of Cartersville; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Brenda Poston of White, Darrell and Sandra Jordan of Cartersville, Kenneth Bishop of Macon, and Jason Bishop of Douglas; his sister, April Bishop of Cartersville; his uncle, Willie Tidwell of Cartersville; his mother-in-law, Cathy Gibson of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Cassville Cemetery with Rev. Bill Crank officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Darryl Broadway, Rick Ross, Jody Hovers, David Tate, Marvin Edwards, Joshua Agan, Frankie Guyton, and Clyde Akins. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Hovers, Tim Hovers and Eli Cumbo. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
