Walnut Ridge- Jessie McCarroll Laird age 98 died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center. She was born May 14, 1915 at Black Rock, Arkansas to John and Virgie Ward McCarroll. She was united in marriage to Lewis Laird on November 25, 1937. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Walnut Ridge and a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewis Laird; sisters, Lorene Gibbens and Gustavia Davis; brother, Vernon McCarroll.
Survivors include son, Don Laird (Glenda) of St. Louis, Mo; daughters, Leveta "Betty" DeVault (Jim) of Bland, Mo. and Levona "Bonnie" Cullen (Joel) of Bono; 5 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren , 2 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Dale Hughart officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock under the direction of House- Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Visitation will be Tuesday 11:30-1:00 p.m. in House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers: Todd Cullen, Paul Schaeffer, Bobby, Schaeffer, Brian Heisner, Cullen Felkins and Brian Matlock.
Honorary Pallbearers: Craig Lonning, Garrick Lonning and Riley Felkins.
