James W. Conner, 77, of 223 E. North St., retired Broderick Company employee, died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday at Ball Hospital. He had been ill since April.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Born in Knoxville, Tenn., Mr. Conner came to Muncie in 1898. He was retired in 1946 after 40 years with Broderick's.
Surviving are two sons, Earl Hollmeyer and Raymond Hollmeyer, of Muncie; a daughter, Mrs. Julie Meder of Muncie; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Moore and Mrs. Belle Holbert, both of Knoxville.
