Irvin W. Love, 88 of 241 South Filmore Road, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. He had been in failing health for the past 10 years. Funeral services will be held at the Gillespie Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Willis Woods in charge. Burial will be in the Lockwood Cemetery. Mr. Love was born in Saylorville, Kentucky, on Nov 1, 1887, the son of James and Kathryn (Gullett) Love. He married Dora E. Hale on December 25, 1907 in Saylorville, Ky. Mr. Love was a 50 year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles - Aerie 1907. He had been employed for 37 years at the Wolverine Cement Company, returing when the Coldwater plant closed. He had resided in the Coldwater area for 60 years, moving here from Iowa. Survivors are his wife, Dora; five sons, Frank, Barney, and Ervin, all of Coldwater, James, of Manistique, and Ralph, of Palmyra; two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Myrtle) Gaskell, of Marshall, and Mrs. Ted (Catherine) Spurlock, of Berrian Springs, West Virginia; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. One son, Virgil, and five sisters preceded him in death.
