LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - George E. Brennan, 94, died Wednesday, June 21, 1989, at Geneva Lake Manor Nursing Home in Lake Geneva. He had been a farmer and seed dealer operating Brennan Seed Farms until 1965.
Born in Lake Geneva, June 13, 1895, he was the son of John and Anna (Barlow) Brennan. He graduated from the Lake Geneva High School and for two years attended the University of Wisconsin.
June 10, 1924, in Hartland, he married Nell VanderKarr who died March 20, 1946. Aug. 18, 1952, in Woodstock, he married Alice VanderKarr who survives.
Mr. Brennan also is survived by two daughters, Betty (Howard) Polyock of Zenda, Wis., and Mary (Dean) Kronwall of Northbrook; two sons, John (Irene) Brennan of Lake Geneva and William (Joann) Brennan of Southfield, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m.,, Thursday at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home in Hebron.
The Rev. Thomas Neville will be the celebrant for the funeral mass 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richmond. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Lake Geneva.
