Funeral for Mrs. Julia Ann Bailey, 81, of Junction City, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Junction City, with the Rev. Jeff Jackson and Larry Carter officiating.
Interment will follow in Jolley Cemetery, Junction City, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Haynesville, La.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday at Bailey Funeral Home in Haynesville.
Mrs. Bailey was born on Sept. 7, 1931, to Shelby and Nan Lewis in New Hope, and passed away on July 3, 2013 in Shreveport, La.
She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. "Chuck" Bailey, on Feb. 15, 2008; her parents; daughter, Sandra Bailey; and son, Steven Bailey.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her daughter, Penny E. Rogers of Junction City; son, Henry Lloyd Bailey and his wife, Deadre, of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Emily Rogers, Ryan Davis and her husband, Chris, Kristen Neyer and her husband, Steve, and Karri Bailey; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Lewis of Haynesville,; brother, Jarvis Lewis and his wife, Joy, of New Hope and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Davis, Shelby Lewis, James Lewis, Bennie Bass, Paul Lewis and Patrick Lewis.
