Sonny is survived by his wife, Frances (Page) Tinsley, they had been married since December of 1954; five children, Dudley (Tammy) Tinsley of Francisco, Timmy (Pixie) Tinsley of Owensville, Tina Wood of Poseyville, Jeff Tinsley of Fort Branch and Melissa (James) Morrow of Francisco; 14 grandchildren, Tashia Sumner, Joshua Tinsley, Jennifer Tinsley, Teela Ward, Tyler Wood, Akeisha Tinsley, Justin Tinsley, Amanda Tinsley, Chad Tinsley, Coy Tinsley, Sonny Tinsley, Shannon Morrow, Tierra Morrow and Travis Phillips; 15 great grandchildren, Lacy, Lexi, Gage, Daisha, Olivia, Dakota, Hunter, Abby, Hunter, Caryn, Karessa, Kallisto, Izabel, Drysten, and Sebastian; one sister, Bonnie Varner and her family of Mount Vernon; one nephew, Rodney Phillips and his family of Mt. Vernon and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Tinsley and her family of Mt. Vernon.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Phillips of Owensville and also several brothers and sisters.
