Mitchell Scott Maxwell went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 4th 2013. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Mitchell was born on July 19th, 1994 to Austin and Claire Maxwell.

Mitchell is survived by his parents, as well as his brothers, Matthew Maxwell, Manning Maxwell and Michael Maxwell; grandparents, Scott and Kathy Daniel of Murfreesboro; grandparents, Hooper and Ruby Maxwell of Crossville, TN; grandparent, Shirley Maxwell of Murfreesboro; aunt, Shelley Kay Munos and her husband Joe of Phoenix, AZ; uncles, James Daniel and his wife Tara of Murfreesboro, Scott Daniel III of Phoenix, AZ; Tim Maxwell of Knoxville, Greg Maxwell of Cookeville, and Scott Maxwell and his wife Amanda of FL; and cousins, Jack, John David, Justin, Katherine and Ryan. Mitchell was preceded in death by his cousin, James Morgan Daniel.

Mitchell gave his heart and soul to Jesus Christ in 2001 as he was baptized at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Mitchell was an active participant in many organizations, growing up to include Royal Ambassadors, Boy Scouts, Murfreesboro Youth Football, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life and his church youth group.

He was a recently graduated from Murfreesboro Riverdale High School where he was a 4years member of the Warrior football team. During his career at Riverdale, Mitchell received the Most Improved Player his junior year; All DNJ his Junior Year as well as All-District and Warrior Linemen of the Year his senior year. He was to attend Mississippi State University and walk-on to the football team in order to pursue his dream of a career in coaching at the collegiate level.
Mitchell was known for his mischievous smile and love of life and humor. He could always make one laugh in the toughest of times. He loved many things in his life but his first love was his faith, family and football.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro at 200 East Main Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Rev. Leland McReynolds and Brother Noel Schoonmaker will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

His three brothers, Matthew, Manning and Michael along with Scottie Boykin, Josh Hatfield, Aaron Aydelott, Dillion Woodruff and Kyle Blevins will serve as pallbearers.
