William August Wendt, age 72 of 310 Noquebay Avenue, Peshtigo, Wisconsin died unexpectedly Sunday at 4:30 pm at the Peshtigo Fire Museum where he was attending an ice cream social. Mr. Wendt was a retired woodsman, born in Peshtigo, March 18, 1895.

He is survived by his widow, the former Emma Heismann;
two step-sons: Martin and Bernard Keller of Peshtigo, WI;
two sisters Mrs. Alma Heinz and Mrs. Sigurd Larsen, both of Peshtigo, WI
and three grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services held at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo with burial in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
