Linda Kay Harms, 64, Nevada, MO, passed away Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, MO. She was born April 20, 1939, in Springfield, MO, to James Duncan Nicholson and Ona Marie Arnhart Nicholson. Ms. Harms was raised in Ash Grove, MO. She graduated from Ash Grove High School in 1957. She graduated from Burge School of Nursing, now known as Cox School of Nursing, in Springfield, MO. She worked at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, MO, and the St. Louis County Hospital, St. Louis, MO, before coming to Nevada, MO, in 1969. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nevada, the Nevada P.E.O., the Diana's M.F.W.C. in Nevada. She was active for years in the Nevada CCPA and was also active in the Republican Party. Survivors include one son, David Harms, Nevada, MO; one daughter, Lori Jean Harms, Nevada, MO; two grandchildren, Logan and Madison Harms, both of Nevada, MO; two step-grandchildren, Elise and Matthew DeBoutez, both of Nevada, MO; along with numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO, with the Rev. Ralph Clark officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m., at Johns Cemetery in Ash Grove, MO. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family suggests that memorials be made to either the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Nevada United Methodist Church, both in care of Ferry Funeral Home, 310 S. Washington, Nevada, MO 64772.
