Inez M. Newburn, the daughter of David and Hattie Carmichael Mitchell was born at DeWitt, Nebraska on December 2, 1899 and passed away at the Wilber Nursing Home on Nov. 26, 1975 at the age of 75.
She attended the DeWitt public schools and graduated from DeWitt High School. She attended Peru State Teachers College and taught school near DeWitt for a number of years. On April 10, 1952, she was united in marriage to Harry W. Newburn at Wilber. The couple made their home in Wilber.
Mrs. Newburn is survived by her husband, Harry of Wilber, a brother, Allen Mitchell of Beatrice and sisters, Mrs. Orva Bjerrum and Mrs. Roy Chrisopher, both of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glenn Mitchell.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Crete VFW Auxiliary.
Burial was in the Bohemian Cemetery, Wilber. Memorials are to the Wilber Nursing Home.
