Born Apr. 1, 1790 in Douglas, MA, the son of Ebenezer Wilmarth and his 2nd wife Molly (Capron) Wilmarth. After the death of his mother July 10, 1797, (transcribed as Molly Wilmoth in the Vital Records of Douglas to 1850), his father moved with his minor children, including Parley, back to his hometown of Attleborough, MA. There Parley married on Feb. 27, 1814. Per the Vital Record of Attleborough, MA:
Parley [Willmarth. int.], and Mary [Smith. int.] Claflin [Claflen. CR1; unm. int.], Feb. 27, 1814.
There is a detailed biography of his father Ebenezer, with mention of Parley in the book: "The Wilmarth family descendants of Thomas of Massachusetts" by Elizabeth J Wilmarth, and Bessie Wilmarth Gahn, 1953, Publisher: Washington, starting on page 19.
