In 1930 she and her parents and five siblings lived on a farm they were renting for $30 a month on the Koleen and Doans Road in Taylor Township, Greene County, IN. They did not have a radio.
In 1940 she and her husband and their son lived in a house they owned in Jackson Township in the same county. Their home was valued at $200. He worked as a truck driver for a privately owned business, with an income in 1939 of $186 for 40 weeks of work.

Mary died at her residence on Wednesday. She was the daughter of Allen and Lona Kirk Page. She was retired from Sarkes Tarzian and a member of Kentucky Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Chancey, a daughter Wilma; three brothers, Ernest, Kenneth and Max, two sisters, Clara and Jean; three stepsons, Roger, Daniel and David; three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Woodrow Harp and an infant daughter.
Services will be 10 a.m. at Jenkins Funeral Home with the Rev. Merla Craig officiating.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
