Ike E. Covalt, Former Liberty Trustee, Dies
MILLVILLE - Funeral services for Ike E. Covalt, who died Friday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Summit Taylor, near Millville, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Brick Church near Hagerstown. Mr. Victor McAnallen, pastor of the Chicago Corner Church near Millville, will officate with burial in the Brick Church Cemetery.
Mr. Covalt hat been ill for two months and was 76 years old at the time of his death. A well-known farmer, he was a lifelong resident of Liberty township and had served two terms as trustee of that township.
Survivors are two daughters: Mrs. Howard Hayes of New Castle and Mrs. Summit Taylor; two sons: Floyd Covalt of near Mooreland and Norman Covalt of Gwyneville, IN; two sisters: Mrs. Clara Woods and Mrs. Alice Holladay, both of Millville; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Main and Sons Funeral Home in New Castle after 7 o'clock Saturday evening.
