Funeral services for Rayburn Anderson will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Malcolm Self, Rev. Danny Warbington, and Rev. Keith Adams. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.


Rayburn was born March 14, 1929 in Coushatta and entered into rest July 5, 2013 in Bossier City. He was retired from the International Paper Mill and Webster Parish School Board in maintenance. Rayburn was a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church, he served as an alderman with the Village of Dixie Inn from 1960-1970, and a charter member of Dixie Inn Lions Club and hunting club.


He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verna Anderson of Minden, son Steve Anderson and wife Sheila of Minden, daughters Sheila Foster and husband Bobby of Shreveport, Cheryl Rogers and husband Scott of Woodstock, Georgia, sister Elaine Robe of Haughton, grandchildren Jared and Caitlin Foster, Daniel and Hunter Anderson and Victoria and Zachary Rogers, and great-grandchildren Airsun Mendoza and Noah and River Anderson.


Pallbearers will be Jared Foster, Daniel Anderson, Hunter Anderson, Zach Rogers, Bruce Lee and Chris Hedrick.
