Both Thomas and his wife died before 1870, since sons John Riley Stewart, (b.1847 IL), and Thomas Price Stewart, (b.1859) IN, were living with different relatives in 1870. Thomas P. [Unknown if connected to injuries or perhaps the death of his wife?] This, and the early death of his wife, may explain why no pension claim seems to have been filed on behalf of his children.
