She lived in the Washburn Community for 60 years. She was married to the late G. B. Miller for 59 years. She was a retired retail store manager and textile worker. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bostic. She was a Sunday School teacher sharing God's lessons for 75 years. She sang in the choir, and was very active in many Christian activities in her church, community, and county. She was a 4-H leader for many years and was a very active member of the Washburn Community Club. She loved to make jams, jellies, pickles, squash relish, etc. and shared them with everyone. She was known far and wide for her delicious pecan pies.
