Irene Haas, 92, of Bandera, passed away on June 22, 2013. She was born on December 21, 1920 to John Adams and Tempie Massey Adams. She married Eugene Haas on February 26, 1940 at St. Joseph's Church in Honeycreek.

She worked as the head chef at the Purple Sage for 28 years. She was also and avid hunter and fisherman.

Lida is preceded in death by her parents.

Lida is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Eugene Haas of Bandera; son Sonny Haas of Pipe Creek; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in her name to the charity of your choosing.

A visitation will be held from 8 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

A rosary will be held at 2 pm, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

A funeral mass will be held at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Stan Oleksy officiating. Burial will follow at the New Catholic Cemetery.
