Ford was a textile mill worker who moved several times to Fulton, DeKalb, and Walton Counties; he died of cancer in hospice care in Snellville, Gwinnet, GA, but his residence for many years was Monroe, Walton County, GA. His relatives enjoyed his friendliness and great sense of humor.
