Marshall Mitchell, 65, died Thursday, July 4, 2013 in Abilene. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. , July 9, 2013, at Mount Hope Cemetery with Joe Hailey officiating.

Born July 21, 1947 in Lamesa, Texas, Marshall was a son of the late Durward and Hulda Mitchell. His family moved to Jones County in 1962 and he graduated from Anson High School. Marshall loved the outdoors, fishing, and watching old western movies. He was a member of Church of Christ. Marshall worked in the oil field business his entire life and worked for Jerry Holden the last several years.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Durward and Hulda Mitchell; sisters Betty Clancy and Margie Barron, and brother-in-law, Tommy Barron; brother James Mitchell; brother-in-law O.D. Perryman; and granddaughters Sonia and Heather Ramos; and a niece Chrisi Lee`Ann Perryman Survivors include one daughter, Dana Kaye Rister, and hus­band Ronnie, of Anson; two sisters, Wyvonne Perryman of Abilene, and Kay Underwood, and husband Eddie of Anson; granddaughters Brittany and Kimberly Rister; grandsons Josh Ramos, and John Rister; 7 great-grandchildren; numer­ous nephews and nieces. Other family members include Bobby and Becky King of Anson, Royce and Janie King or Henrietta, Texas, and Dale and Sherry King of Bridgeport, Texa s.

Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 2013 from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Adams-Graham Funeral Home, 732 Avenue I, Anson, Tx.
