Elmira Metzner, 76, of McKenzie Road extended, LaVale, Md. died March 8, 1988 at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Oct. 9, 1911, in Garrett County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Annie (Byers) Merrbach.
She was a member of the Cumberland Senior Citizens and the Haystack Mountain Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew H. Metzner; one brother, William Merrbach, Garrett County, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie McKenzie, Meyersdale; Mrs. Emma Winebrenner, Garrett County, Md.; Mrs. Amelia Valentine and Mrs. Lydia Butler, both of Pennsylvania; one granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, LaVale, Md. was in charge of arrangements.
