Services for Thelma P. Denny, 81, of Columbia, will be held at 1 p.m., Monday at Park Street Baptist Church, conducted by Reverend Danny Gray, with committal at 3 p.m., Monday at Graniteville Cemetery in Graniteville.
Memorials may be made to Park Street Baptist Church, the Alzheimer Association or the Lowman Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home, West Columbia.
Ms. Denny died Friday, October 5, 2001. Born in Valcluse, she was a daughter of the late David David W. and Bessie E. Wilson Denny. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church and retired from Traveler's Insurance Company after 25 years. She was a graduate of Graniteville High School, now Leavelle-McCampbell High School, and attended Winthrop University. Ms. Denny was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday school class.
She is pre-deceased by brothers and sisters, Lt. Col. John C. Denny, Col. Robert M. Denny, George A. Denny, Virgil Q. Denny, Mary O. Mathews and Cleo D. Reitzel.
Surviving are her sisters, Margaret E. Denny of Myrtle Beach and Marian D. Hevner of Media, Pa. and a number of nieces and nephews.
