New Boston, Texas-Louise Kumpe, 80, of New Boston died Saturday, July 9, 2005, in a local hospital. Mrs. Kumpe was born July 28, 1924, in Naples, Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of First Assembly of God Church, Hooks, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Kumpe. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Pam Kumpe of New Boston; one brother, Melvin England of New Boston; one sister, Sybil Penny of Hooks; three grandchildren, Brandon Kumpe, Marty Rhodes and Keesha Williams; and one great-grandchild, Cagun Daughn. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Louis Smith and Larry Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
