YOUNGER, Robert J. Died January 11, 2006. Born March 18, 1925, on the Younger farm in Saline County, Missouri. Attended Marshall High School and the University of Missouri. Retired in 1982 from McCall's Publishing Company/Dayton Press after 32 years of service. Member International Typographical Union and China-Burma-India Veterans Association. In 1969, with his wife Mary Evelyn, he established Morningside House, a Civil War book publishing business, and therein established himself in the Civil War book trade. He is survived by his wife Mary Evelyn, sister Virginia Y. Finley, 3 nieces and 13 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. He will be buried in the Witcher Family Cemetery on the Finley/Younger Family Farm in Saline County, Missouri. Make any donations to the charity of your choice.
