CALVIN F. VICE, age 87, Cynthiana, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at his residence. Born in Nicholas County, April 4, 1926 to the late Allen Banks and Mattie Peak Vice, he was a member of the Oddville Christian Church and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Vice was a former owner of the Cynthiana Motor Company, Vice President, General Manager and Sales Manager of H.A. Jones Chevrolet and a fifty-one year employee of General Motors of which he retired. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first spouse, June Clavell Vice and a sister, Wanda Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Kelley-Vice; daughter, Cheri (Teddy) Wright, Falmouth; his adopted family, Chris (Lisa) Harless, Kayla Harless and Austin Harless, all of Cynthiana; a brother, Jewel (Wanda) Vice, Carlisle; three grandchildren, Kelley (Larry) Carlisle, Travis (Sam) Wright and Bradley Wright and three great grandchildren, Raegan Carlisle, Cason Carlisle and Austin Wright.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Oddville Christian Church by Bro. Wayne Tolson with visitation at 10:00 A.M. under the direction of Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be in Carlisle Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Oddville Christian Church Building Fund or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
