Douglas C. Whitehead, 28, of Syracuse, died March 6, 1998 at University Hospital. Born in Flushing, Queens, he was a resident of Baldwinsville before moving to Syracuse five years ago. He graduated with honors in 1987 from Chriatian Brothers Academy and was a member of the MENSA Society. He is survived by his fiancée, Francine Whitman of Syracuse; a son, Matthew James Whitehead of Syracuse; his parents, Joseph & Lola Whitehead of Baldwinsville; a sister, Pamela Whitehead Boston, Mass.; his maternal grandmother, Martha Saveth of Liverpool. Services were March 10 at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool and in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to United Way of CNY, 518 James Street, Syracuse, NY 13202.
