John and his wife Salina Prunty were married 25 May 1882 in Ritchie County, WV. After they had their first son, Romeo Ross Bee in 1884, they moved to Nebraska. While they were there, they had their second child, a daughter named Nellie Bee in 1890. After she was born, they moved to Cannon City, CO and they had Proctor Kendall Bee, known as PK. They then moved back to Doddridge County, WV where they had Gretchen Virginia Bee (1892) and Olga Augie Bee (1896). Then they moved to Memphis, TN where they had their last daughter, Donna L Bee in 1903. Then they moved to Rome, GA and ran a grocery store. According to City Directories, they also had a grocery store in Birmingham, AL. When Salina died in 1911, John remarried a woman named Nora A. Godfrey on 24 Nov 1912 in Floyd, GA. I have sent for DC's from both Rome, GA and Birmingham, AL, but none were found. But John disappears in the City Directories after 1927 in Birmingham, AL.

John S C Bee was named after John Snyder Carlile, who was born in VA 19 Dec 1817 and died in WV 24 Oct 1878. He was an American merchant, lawyer, and politician, including a United States Senator.

His death date is unknown, but in July, 1927, there is an article in the Weekly Call in Birmingham, Alabama where he is filling a suit against his son P K Bee over an old Packard automobile.

And the last city directory he is listed in is 1928 in Birmingham, AL. Georgia said they do not have his death certificate.

Also, so far, the last city directory that he is listed in is 1929 for Birmingham, AL. He is alone.
