Funeral ervices will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Hale Christian Church with the Rev. Thelma Case officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery, located south of Hale.
Mrs. Monson was born Aug. 10, 1890, in Audrain County, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Gertrude (James) Smith. She moved to the Hale in 1907 and married Elmer Victor Monson on May 10, 1911. She was a member of the Hale Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, William Monson of Grandview and Kirk Monson of Derby, Kan.; two daughers, Mrs. Evelyn Brown of St Catharine and Ruth Carter of Wichita, Kan.; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
